It all started when we began thinking our packaging. We knew we wanted to move away from single-use plastic and paper bags, aiming instead for a sustainable solution. Our vision was to create a tote bag that was both eco-friendly and stylish to accompany you anywhere, from a routine shopping trip to a quiet afternoon at the library or an art exhibition.

While searching for the perfect partner to bring this vision to life, we came across an inspiring post by The Burlap People. Their dedication to supporting new startups resonated with us immediately, and we leapt at the chance to connect.

From our very first conversation, we knew we had found the right partners. Their team and founder guided us seamlessly through every step of the process - from selecting the finest canvas and leather to refining the design details.

Throughout the creative journey, The Burlap People team showed immense patience and support, helping us refine our ideas into two distinct pieces: The Book Tote and The Bucket Tote.

We are incredibly proud of this partnership. Every single bag is entirely handmade, and we were directly involved in the process, tracking everything from the master artisan cutting the canvas to the crafting of our logo dye.

This marks the very first collaboration for KANASI, and it is one we hold especially close. Two brands, one shared belief that the things we make should endure and carry meaning long after they are made.
